Who is behind Canine Rewards

What is Canine Rewards?

Before I share a little about who is behind Canine Rewards, I will tell you what Canine Rewards is about. Canine Rewards is a blog to share the importance of proper dog training and socialization. You'll learn about different dog breeds and random facts about dogs. Don't worry it's not all work and no play. You'll get occasional homemade dog treat recipes and DIY's. I will also share bits and pieces about my journey of becoming a professional dog trainer and starting my own business.

Who Am I?

My name is Hannah Ellis! This is the first time I've ever done a blog, or anything posted out for the world to see. I'm not the best at reading and writing, so bear with me. I was born and raised in Alaska, I have eight older brothers, five older sisters, and one younger sister. (I know! Thats a lot of siblings!) I've loved animals, since I was a young child. When I wasn't researching different animals and dog breeds, I was trying to convince my mom to let me have another pet. Sometimes, it worked, but I was never able to convince her to get me a horse. I don't blame her though; it would have been hard trying to fit a horse through the door. I had many aspirations growing up, I wanted to be a famous singer, a dancer, an actor, even a figure skater. It was always changing, except one thing I one hundred percent knew I wanted to work with animals. One day, I want to open my own animal shelter and dog training center. I figured dog training would be a good place to start, so I am working on getting a degree in dog training. In the meantime, I've decided to start the Canine Rewards Blog and eventually Canine Rewards youtube videos.

Who Is Ariel?

Ariel is my seven-year-old German Shepard Husky mix. When Ariel was about nine weeks old, I babysat her for about a week, her owner was struggling and posted on facebook for help. They moved soon after that and I never seen her or heard from her owner after that. When Ariel was eleven-months old, I saw that she was looking for a new home and was only a couple of hours from where I lived. I convinced my mom to let me have her. For the first couple of years, she was an extremely rambunctious escape artist and wasn't the greatest at listening. Now, she isn't really rambunctious, she's pretty good at listening, and she loves training. She picks up new tricks and commands pretty quickly. The tricks/commands she does are sit, lay down, stay, come, follow, off, no, bang (play dead), pose, crawl, spin, back up, here, wait, wave, tap ect. Ariel loves to play fetch and her favorite treats are peanut butter, apples, and carrots.

Questions

At the end of the blogs, I will be asking one or more questions. You guys are free to answer if you want, but you don't have to. The questions will probably be about opinions or facts based on what I have covered in the article or what I will cover in the future.

How many siblings do you have?

Do you have any pets? If so what kind?

What's your opinion on dog training?
